Through the various social and educational institutions mentioned above, the Arya Sabha Mauritius is helping the government by offering direct employment to some 700 persons and approximately 3000 members in the families who are able to live a sustainable life. A Cooperative credit union has been constituted by the ASM since 2018 to help its members and staff employed in the different institutions through loans and other incentives.
For the past 115 years ASM is acting as partner to the Government of Mauritius by its collaboration with more than 10 Ministries such as Ministry of Social Security, Ministry of Gender, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Social integration, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Finance & economic empowerment, Ministry of Arts & Cultural heritage, Ministry of Health, Ministry of environment, Ministry of Youth & sports, Ministry of Housing & Land, Ministry of Cooperative, Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Ministry of Agriculture, etc..,
All the institutions catered by the ASM are financed by grants, donations from members and well-wishers and CSR from private companies. The yearly audited Financial Statement and budget is approved by the AGM of the ASM usually held in the month of March each year which is duly filed with the Registrar of Association and the Accountant General. The Board of Managing Committee of the ASM elected by the AGM each three years is responsible for the day to day running of all its Social and Educational institutions with a team of dedicated administrative staff at the head office of the ASM. The services offered by volunteers and the committed staff in the different Social and Educational institutions are praise worthy.
